Celebration North!

A couple weeks ago we had Celebration North Florida at Camp Kulaqua! It was a great conference, but I missed not serving so much. I have so many memories of driving around late at night in the go-cart with Janine, Meghann, Kristen to clean the cabins out...setting up the A-frame, the Nursing Mom's Room and the classrooms...burgers at Connestoga and subs from Subway....and late night debriefing so exhausted everything is hilarious.

Enough about past Celebrations!! THIS one was fun in that Val and I hung out a lot and we stayed at her sister's house while they all got to stay on site (hurray!!! thanks for letting me have your bed, Claire!). We took the kids on Friday afternoon and went all over the place! I'd never been through the zoo...which is where we went on Saturday.

It was such a fun weekend!

Happy Birthday To Me!!!

So, I had a birthday a couple weeks ago. I can't tell you how old I am. It's a surprise. Yeah. Anyway, on Thursday, the day before my birthday, the office girlies and Kathy surprised me with a fun lunch out at Don Pablo's! ...and a not-so-fun hat.

And then...a few of us girlies (and kiddos....and Jason :o) went to the Farmer's Market to celebrate my birthday along with Rebekah's (mine was October 12th and hers was August 22nd. embarrassing, i know). It was so much fun and I'm so grateful for friends like you guys to hang out with, laugh with and learn from! I love you all!! (And we missed you, Mandy! :o(

'Next Blog'.......no more!

So recently it was brought to my attention that you can easily find inappropriate sites (even through Blogger) by clicking on the 'Next Blog' arrow at the top of most Blogger blogs! Not good!!!! So, someone found a solution! If you want to get rid of that ability, go to your 'Edit HTML' page and scroll down to the section under 'Footer'.

You'll see this line: /** Page structure tweaks for layout editor wireframe */

Right under it you'll see this line: body#layout #header {

Replace it with this (you'll just have to put this sign '<' at the beginning of each of these three words and the '>' at the end of each of the three): noscript body /noscript

And there ya have it! A blog safe enough for the littlest ears in your family….oh good grief! :o)

Disney Day With The Girls!

Okay, I totally accidentally posted this without any description, so here's the quick explanation. :)

Val and I thought it would be fun to take our girlies to Disney for the day. After much planning and a bout with chicken pox that Claire survived - we made it! We had so much fun and cracked up all day long at those girls and the things they said and did. They were sooooo good and so much fun to hang out with. Katelyn, I could totally make you my new girlfriend! ;o)

That night we had a slumber party with brownies and EVERYTHING! We did each other's hair and nails and watched 'Anne of Green Gables'. Sooooo much fun! We hit the hay and all slept in Val's (a.k.a. Miss Val/Aunt Val) room. Interesting. Most of us slept through the night. ;)

The next morning, Val had stuff goin' on at Grace Church, so I gathered up the girlies and we stopped at Starbucks for some coffee. I do believe the girls loved their mocha frappuchino! Ha! Then they helped me with the Information Desk by leaving me messages on my voicemail and spinning around in the chair.

All in all...it was a blast! I love you girlies!

Say Cheese, Part II

Okay, so my Kodak was poopy. I took it back. After much talking (and I mean MUCH - an hour and a half!) I got all my money back, a price-match for the one I was looking at with Costco's price and the re-stocking fee taken off. I'm quite proud of myself. ;o) And Kathy is extremely glad the camera saga is over. Haha!
