The Nativity Story

Wow! We saw this as a family tonight and all agreed it was amazing. There's nothing like it!! I saw the birth of our Saviour in a brand new light - incredible... You can check out the movie here: The Nativity Story. What did YOU think?

Merry Christmas, everyone!!! I am so grateful for you all!

Oh, and a little trivia: If you received all the gifts in 'The Twelve Days of Christmas', how many gifts would that be? :)

Disney Day

Well, our Office Girls' Christmas Day at Disney has come and gone for 2006. We had a blast, but of course, we miss all those former 'Disney Day-ers'. *sniff*

We started out our morning with breakfast at Val's house this year. We made scones, chicken salad croissants, (homemade) hot chocolate, fresh fruit, the absolute-est most delicious quiches ever, muffins, etc. Then we all exchanged gifts. Here we are in front of Val's Christmas tree...can you find it? :)

There's a really scary one of me that happened right after this, but I'll save myself the mockery...so the next one is of us on Santa's sleigh... oh yeah, we ventured out to the Kingdom this year, too. I must say I very much missed the Candlelight Service ('they rejoiced with exceeding great joy...'), but I was overruled.

Only the brave ventured onto Space Mountain...I think I'm getting old, too. ; )

Kylene....or Buddy the Elf?

It was fun posing for all the pictures...all 8 of us. ; )

The pictures don't do the fireworks justice. They were incredible and got 'oohs' and 'ahhs' from even me! And we had front row seats - way to go, Val!

Sitting around the table... we're eating our yummy funnel cakes and hot chocolate! Mary ended up wearing hers on her sleeve!

She just couldn't resist...she's so cute!

Waiting for the monorail...8 minutes or 3?!?!

Yep, you got it! We got to ride up front on the monorail!!!! Adam, our driver, let four of us ride with him. Stats (thanks to Ky! ; ): max speed is 40 mph, can't come within .5 mile of monorail in front of him, he toots great...the horn, that is! :), and it's NOT run magnetically but with electricity and tires! We all have Honorary Co-Pilot Licenses...well, Em, Ky, Lisa and I do. The Disney employees (Val and Mary) graciously rode in the car behind us. What fun!!!!!

And of course, there are always those characters to make you laugh at the end of a long day...like the Genie. Only...he looked slightly odd-er than the Genie in the parade:

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I think this was the first truly cold day in the season. But it was only in the 60s...gee, I love Florida!!!!! It was an incredible day, but WAY cold at night. Here are the three babes from 'da Hood:

What a wonderful day - building relationships with these incredible ladies who are also my co-workers, my sisters in Christ, my friends...it just doesn't get much better. :) Thanks, ladies, for a wonderful day!

P.S. there may be some more to come...maybe even some pics from past years!
