More Than Meets The 'I'

So, we're going through this new series in our Singles' Ministry...oh, whoops!...I mean Undivided. It's called "More Than Meets The 'I'". It has been really good and actually a lot of fun. In October (we started in August, I think), the girls were allowed to be in the meeting as Jeremy addressed the guys. He did this mainly for our benefit, so we can hear what they're telling the guys and, in turn, serve them better. Then, last Saturday, he addressed the girls with the guys sitting in (Kristen helped him a bunch, I think!)....for the same reasons. After both meetings there was lots of time for Q&A. Our group has grown and there's not as many people that are familiar with these teachings, so it was neat to hear their perspectives. All the messages are on the site, if you want to listen.

Next month, he's going to line the girls up on one side of the room and the guys on the other and start pairing up...I'm so excited! Ha! Just kidding! But seriously, February will be on relationships...should be good!

One of the illustrations he used for the differences between guys and girls was from Manspeak. It was pretty hilarious. If you didn't see it on GirlTalk already, check it out.

Oh, there's a video on the Undivided website that you should watch, too...I am a woman! : o )

Ten Things I Love Most About Rebekah

Rebekah, after the Holy Spirit used you to convict me on the delinquency of my posts, I decided to post entirely to you.... *grin* I miss you lots and loved talking tonight! Oh, and I think there's only 191 days until Baby Phillips is here, right?

...Some of my favorite things about you? I can't believe you asked!!! Here they are:

1. Your laugh - the office is silent as a tomb without your 'heeheehee'.
2. Your hatred of country music - it's strangely endearing.
3. Your son - he's a part of you!!! His Auntie Jenn loves and misses that guy so much!
4. Your humility - your struggles enter our conversations so easily and without pride.
5. Your church - because it is our family and you love it, serve it and encourage it in godliness.
6. Your husband - I love having this (tall) dimension to our friendship. I have learned lots and lots about the many different aspects of relationships (courting, engagement, marriage, parenting) from watching the two of you. I love being a part of your new (and growing!) family.
7. Your servant's heart - you serve and serve and serve. You inspired me long ago when we watched Matthew, were in HG together, etc. You continue to inspire me with your desire to serve in this new role as a pastor's wife!
8. Your friendship - you stick with me! We have so many memories that I will never forget...although there are some I would rather not continue to remember (golf carts at Celebration?).
9. Your tickle-y-ness - what's more fun than trying to tickle you?
10. Your God - because He is mine, too and we worship Him even in different cities. We will spend eternity together, worshipping Him!

And just in case you think this sounds like it came out of a little black notebook from a wedding reception...it didn't. *wink*

I love you!!!
